Child Protection Policy
Our commitment to keeping every child safe — the procedures we follow to protect the welfare of all our pupils
Child Protection Policy
Haydon Bridge High School fully recognises its responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children in our care. Our approach is guided by the principle that the welfare of the child is paramount.
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Katy Owen, who can be contacted via the school office on 01434 684422 or at owenk@hbhs.co.uk.
Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead is Stephen Hill, contactable at hills@hbhs.co.uk or via the school office.
If you have a concern about a child’s welfare, please contact the DSL directly or speak to any member of staff, who will refer your concern appropriately. In an emergency, always call 999.
