How to apply for a place
We welcome applications from students across the South Tyne Valley and surrounding areas. Admission to Haydon Bridge High School is coordinated through Northumberland County Council, and we encourage all prospective families to get in touch early so we can help guide you through the process.
Whether you are applying for Year 7 entry as part of the normal intake, or seeking an in-year transfer, our office team is happy to answer your questions and arrange a visit to the school.
Years 7 to 11
If you would like to apply for a place at Haydon Bridge High School in Years 7 to 11 please contact Northumberland County Council on 01670 624889.
Please send a covering letter with your application (SA8) giving any further information that may be useful to us in placing your child in the class most suited to them. If there is a place available and you have enclosed all the above information this will speed up your application as our admissions procedure can take up to ten school days from when a place is accepted to when a student is able to start as we need to ensure that all our new students are placed in the correct forms for their ability.
